Pulled Fan Art Fuels Batman: Court of Owls Game Speculation

Marvel's Spider-Man might be the superhero game to top but it wouldn't have been there if it weren't for the Batman: Arkham games. Starting with Arkham Asylum, the game series was an interesting mixture of stealth, combat, and Metroidvania-style exploration, which is why this is a beloved gaming franchise. Fans were ecstatic when Arkham Origins developer Warner Bros. Montreal teased a Batman: Court of Owls game but nothing came of that.

Until now, at least.

Eddie Mendoza, a freelance artist who has done some work for Warner Bros, recently pulled some of his Batman art for unknown reasons. The art had Batman taking down a number of Talons from the Court of Owls, which got a lot of fans talking. Fans in Reddit started thinking that the fan art might have been concept art for the game since Mendoza has been removing them.

It's kind of funny how Warner Bros. may have had Mendoza pull his art to avoid speculation on the game and ended up adding fuel to the fire.

Rocksteady said that Arkham Knight would be the final game in the Arkham series, though it's worth noting that this new game is being worked on by Warner Bros. Montreal, who worked on Arkham Origins, the only game to not get an HD remaster. Arkham Origins is a pretty underrated game so it will be interesting seeing what Warner Bros. Montreal does with another game in this franchise.

Fans can get all of Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham games now on a number of gaming systems. Hopefully, we get news on this Batman: Court of Owls game soon.
