Depending on who you ask Suicide Squad was either a fun, action flick or a dumb movie with no true identity. However you feel, the movie did make a lot of money upon release and even won an Oscar thanks to the makeup of Killer Croc, a decision that continues to baffle many to this day. With former Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn working on a sequel to the DC film, it looks like the squad is far from dead.
Oddly enough, popular multiplayer shooter PUBG (PlayerUnknown's BattleGround) will be adding the Suicide Squad versions of Joker and Harley Quinn to the game. They probably won't play differently from the other characters but variety is nice, so this won't bother fans of the game.
Honestly, this collaboration feels two years too late since the movie's hype has died down considerably, despite its defenders. Sure, Harley Quinn will be returning to the big screen in 2020 but it will be with the Birds of Prey. That being said, the character models themselves aren't too bad and it could be kind of fun going on a shooting spree with either clown.
It wasn't that long ago when Thanos was a part of Fortnite, though that felt more timely given how the movie had just come out. He was only there for a short time but was pretty overpowered and would often dominate the battleground. Joker and Harley don't seem to be as unbalanced, though we don't know how long they will be in the game.
PUBG is available now on PC, Xbox One, and mobile phones. Harley Quinn and The Joker will be added "soon."
