Prince Harry opened up about the alleged physical attack he endured at the hands of his big brother, Prince William. The Duke of Sussex claimed their altercation over his marriage to his wife, Meghan Markle, turned physical in his book Spare.

Prince Harry Details Alleged Physical Attack From Brother Prince William In Spare

The Guardian obtained an extract from Prince Harry's upcoming memoir where he reportedly detailed how his sibling attacked him when they argued over his wife, Markle. The Prince of Wales complained about the former Suits star and wanted to see Prince Harry about it.

However, the heir to the throne was reportedly already "piping hot" when he arrived at Nottingham Cottage, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously lived on the grounds of Kensington Palace.

"Harry then accused his brother of acting like an heir, unable to understand why his younger brother was not content to be a spare," the outlet noted.

Prince William reportedly said he was trying to help. However, Harry told his big brother, "Are you serious? Help me? Sorry – is that what you call this? Helping me?"

Prince Harry said his statement angered the future king, and the latter swore while stepping towards him. Prince Harry said he was scared and went into the kitchen to give his furious brother a glass of water.

"Willy, I can't speak to you when you're like this," Prince Harry told Prince William.

"He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me," Prince Harry wrote. "It all happened so fast. So very fast."

Prince William reportedly urged him to hit back, citing fights they had when they were kids. The Duke of Sussex refused, and Prince William left.

Kate Middleton's husband reportedly returned "looking regretful, and apologised" after the alleged assault. He also "turned and called back: 'You don't need to tell Meg about this."

"'You mean that you attacked me?'" Prince Harry continued.

"'I didn't attack you, Harold.'"

Prince Harry didn't immediately inform his wife about the alleged attack. However, she later noticed the "scrapes and bruises" on his back. When he told her, Markle "wasn't that surprised and wasn't all that angry."

"She was terribly sad," Prince Harry said.
