Prince Harry has been strained from his family after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, decided to step back from their royal duties. His memoir, Spare, is seemingly making things worse, according to a report.

Prince William Barely Speaking To Brother Prince Harry?

The Prince of Wales and Duke of Sussex put on a united front during their grandmother Queen Elizabeth's funeral. Prince William even invited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to join him and his wife, Kate Middleton, for a walkabout outside Windsor Castle.

The royal siblings were spotted multiple times during the funeral. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left Britain shortly after the Queen was buried, and their relationship with the senior royals reportedly remained the same — still strained.

A palace insider recently told OK Magazine (via New Idea) that Prince William "has barely spoken" to Prince Harry after his book Spare was announced to the public. Penguin Random House confirmed the title and release date of Prince Harry's book last week.

The title raised eyebrows, and the royals felt that it was loaded because it referred to the common but cruel saying about Prince William and Prince Harry as "the heir and the spare."

Due to the title, the royals feel that the memoir will be "controversial" and "provocative."

"That title is loaded and it does not bode well," a palace insider said.

King Charles Not Inviting Prince Harry And Meghan Markle To Coronation?

Another source said that the new monarch would not invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle if he attacks Queen Consort Camilla in the book. His Majesty can reportedly take the blows against him but not toward his wife, who has been supportive of him.

"Almost everything Charles has done over the past 20 years has, in one way or another, been about getting Camilla accepted by the public," the source said. "He loves her. He is incredibly protective of her and he couldn't do it without her. Even [Queen Elizabeth] finally accepted that."

Royal Family Upset With Prince Harry's Memoir?

The outlet added that the royal family wasn't informed about Prince Harry's memoir in advance, making them upset. The lack of coordination with them reportedly led them to worry that it would delve into sensitive topics, including Princess Diana's death and Prince Harry's relationship with his father, King Charles and brother Prince William.

They will also reportedly anxious about whether Spare will reveal the royal who allegedly made the racist comment to his and Meghan Markle's son Archie. The couple said during their interview with Oprah Winfrey that they didn't want to drop the name as it would be damaging to the royals. However, some believed that it was best to identify the alleged racist royal because, otherwise, everyone in the family is deemed racist.

There are fears that the final draft "might not go down well" with the royal family.

Prince Harry's memoir Spare will be out on Jan. 10, 2023.
