Prince William dated a handful of women before he eventually ended up with Kate Middleton, and there's no denying the fact that the Prince and Princess of Wales' relationship were very much like a fairytale. After dating for a decade, with two brief breakups in between, the couple finally tied the knot in 2011.
Prince William Forced To Confirm His Relationship With Kate Middleton During A Game
But during their university dates, Prince William and Kate Middleton tried to conceal the real status of their relationship for as long as possible. However, Prince William's ex-girlfriend, Carly Massy-Birch, outed them during a game of never have I ever.
In the book The Making of a Royal Romance, royal author Katie Nicholl detailed what happened during the game.
Massy-Birch reportedly asked the group of students playing the game who among them had dated two people in the room. Of course, she knew that Prince William would drink because they dated, and he was now dating Middleton.
Upon hearing her question, Prince William reportedly shot his ex-girlfriend a thunderous look and told her that he couldn't believe she would ask such a thing. Middleton was reportedly also taken aback by the question, and she stopped talking to Prince William's ex-girlfriend afterwards.

Prince William Got Along Well With His Ex-Girlfriend Carly Massy-Birch
But despite the falling out, Massy-Birch had nothing but wonderful things to say about Prince William. She said that the two of them got along really well.
"I'm a real country bumpkin. I think that was why we had a connection. William was in the year below, and we just happened to meet through the general St. Andrews melee. It's such a small place that it was impossible not to bump into William, and after a while, there was nothing weird about seeing him around," she told Cosmopolitan.
Massy-Birch also called her previous relationship with Prince William a regular university thing, aka a university romance. But even if they didn't date, she was confident that she and the Prince of Wales would've gotten along well.
Prince William Dated Olivia Hunt Briefly Before Kate Middleton
Other than Massy-Birch, Prince William also dated Olivia Hunt during his freshman in college. The couple's relationship was short-lived, especially after Middleton captivated her husband when she walked on the runway wearing nothing but her swimsuit and a net cover-up.
"Everyone says that the fashion show was when the romance started, so a small part of me will always be part of royal history It's madness!" the couple's classmate, Charlotte Todd, told People (via The List).
