Prince William and Kate Middleton addressed the recent racism allegation against the palace. The Prince and Princess of Wales made it known that they were "disappointed" by the incident.

Prince William And Kate Middleton Addressed The Racism Allegation Against A Palace Aide

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently in Boston for a three-day trip. They will remain in the United States until Friday for the second Earthshot Prize ceremony.

However, news about a palace aide asking a Buckingham Palace guest racist questions didn't sit well with the royal couple.

"I was really disappointed to hear about the guest's experience. Racism has no place in our society. These comments were unacceptable and it's right that the individual has stepped aside with immediate effect," the Prince and Princess of Wales spokesperson said, New Idea reported.

The couple were reportedly travelling to the U.S. when the news of the incident first broke. They were immediately informed about it, and they supported the palace's action.

How Did The Palace React To The Racism Allegation?

Domestic abuse activist Ngozi Fulani took to Twitter and shared her experience during her visit to Buckingham Palace. According to her, a palace aide asked her racist questions.

Buckingham Palace released a statement after learning about the incident after several outlets picked up the story.

The palace said the aide in question resigned from their "honorary role" and apologized for making the "unacceptable and deeply regrettable comments."

What Happened During The Alleged Racist Encounter?

Fulani shared her experience on Twitter, claiming that she was repeatedly asked by a palace aide about racist questions when she attended a Buckingham Palace reception on Nov. 29 to raise awareness of violence against women. The event was hosted by Queen Consort Camilla.

Among the questions asked were, "Where do you really come from?" and "When did you first come here?"

Fulani already told the aide that she was born in the U.K. However, the palace aide, whom she dubbed Lad SH, allegedly commented, "I can see I am going to have a challenge getting you to say where you're from."
