Kate Middleton wasn't thrilled with what Prince Harry wrote about her in his memoir Spare. The Duke of Sussex mentioned his impression of his sister-in-law in his book and several not-so-flattering encounters.
Prince Harry Describes Sister-In-Law Kate Middleton' Sweet' And 'Kind' In Spare
Meghan Markle's husband shared several encounters involving Middleton in his book. He also recounted his first impression of her after his big brother Prince William introduced her to him.
"She was carefree, sweet, kind. She'd done a gap year in Florence, knew about photography, art. And clothes. She loved clothes. Her name was Kate," Prince Harry wrote, Us Weekly reported.
He couldn't remember what Middleton wore at the 2005 costume party that they attended. However, he remembered how she helped Prince William choose a feline outfit.
According to Prince Harry, he and Middleton had "a great time" as they laughed at his brother's outfit, noting that the theme of the party was to wear "ridiculous" costumes. Prince William's brother liked seeing his sister-in-law laugh, and he wanted her to laugh often.
"I liked seeing Kate laugh. Better yet, I liked making her laugh. And I was quite good at it. My transparently silly side connected with her heavily disguised silly side," Prince Harry continued.
"Whenever I worried that Kate was going to be the one to take Willy from me, I consoled myself with thoughts of all our future laughing fits together, and I told myself how great everything would be when I had a serious girlfriend who could laugh along with us."
Kate Middleton Very Upset With Prince Harry's Memoir Spare
An anonymous source spoke about Kate Middleton's reaction to his book after several extracts from Spare leaked last week. The insider said Prince William's wife was "appalled" at it.
"Kate feels that Harry's actions are atrocious," an anonymous source told the outlet.
"She is appalled at him for dragging her name through the dirt and is finding it hard to forgive."

In his book, Prince Harry also seemingly blamed his brother and sister-in-law for his controversial Nazi costume. According to him, he was down to two outfits — a pilot uniform and a Nazi uniform. The Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly helped him choose the Nazi uniform, and he agreed because it was a "ridiculous" outfit, which was perfect for the party's theme.
Prince Harry also claimed in his book that Middleton grimaced when his wife, Meghan Markle, borrowed her lip gloss. He also claimed that the Princess of Wales was "on edge" when the former Suits star joined the firm because they would often be compared.
