Prince Harry has not seen Queen Elizabeth II for over a year, so news of his surprise visit came as a shock to some royal fans and royal experts. The Duke of Sussex shared details from his recent meeting with his grandmother, which took place before he traveled to Holland for the Invictus Games.
Prince Harry Visited Queen Elizabeth Ahead Of The Invictus Games
According to Daily Mail, the queen extended an olive branch to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by inviting them to attend her Platinum Jubilee in June. If the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to travel to the United Kingdom then, royal fans would be able to see them on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
However, since Prince Harry and Markle are no longer considered senior working royals, they wouldn’t be allowed to carry out royal duties during the four-day festivities.
Other than this, Prince Harry also revealed that the queen sent the participants of the Invictus Games some heartwarming messages. And the Duke of Sussex said that the monarch would’ve loved to be at the sports event with him and Markle but she’s no longer able to travel.
Prince Harry also, reportedly, promised the queen that she would get to meet his daughter, Lilibet Diana, and reunite with Archie in the near future. If the Sussexes decide to attend the queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June, it’s highly likely for the couple to bring their kids along.

Prince Harry Reconciled With Prince Charles But Didn’t Reunite With Prince William, Kate Middleton
Additionally, the dad of two also had an opportunity to talk to his dad, Prince Charles, before he traveled to Holland. The father and son reportedly had a 15-minute conversation, but details of what they talked about have not been released.
However, the publication pointed out that Prince Harry and Markle need to do some damage control before they head to the United Kingdom. After all, the latter previously accused the family of being racist. So, it’s possible that there’s still some tension between the Sussexes and the British clan.
It was also confirmed that Prince Harry didn’t reunite with Prince William and Kate Middleton during his quick trip to his hometown. After all, the Cambridges are at a resort in Courcheval with their three children. As such, sources are saying that Prince Harry’s visit to the queen was timed perfectly because it happened while his brother was not around.
Sources believe that Prince Harry and Prince William have not reconciled. But there’s a bit of progress because the Duke of Sussex reportedly wants to hire a moderator who can facilitate his meeting with Prince William.
Prince Harry Wants To Resolve His Issues With Prince William
While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, royal expert Katie Nicholl said that Prince Harry is willing to finally repair his relationship with his older brother.
“Harry, I'm told, suggested perhaps that they might get some sort of a mediator in on sort of these talks, to make some progress. It was something that he had suggested to his father. He's made it very clear that he wants to sort things out. He wants things to be improved,” Nicholl said.
Prince Harry also, reportedly, wants to be in a better place with Prince William in June so that things won’t be awkward if they reunite at the queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
“I'm hearing that he wants to be over here for the queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June. I think, possibly, that suggestion of a mediator is probably less the relationship with his father because his father is open to wanting to sort things out. I would imagine it's more to do with his brother. I would imagine that that idea of wanting a mediator is probably more to do with him and William. His relationship, really, is at a bit of a crossroads. We have been told for many months now that they're not close at the moment. It has been very, very difficult,” Nicholl said.
As of late, there’s still no confirmation whether Prince Harry and Markle would attend the queen’s Platinum Jubilee. And it’s also unclear what Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship is like right now.
