Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been away from the royal family for over a year already since they stepped down from their royal duties. A lot of things happened between the Sussexes and royal family, but a reconciliation might happen soon, a report says.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Likely To Mend Fences With The Royal Family

Prince Harry was very close to the Queen. Some sources even claimed he was Her Majesty's favorite grandson.

Also, when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made allegations against the royal family during their interview with Oprah Winfrey, they had nothing but kind words for Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II.

Royal historian Dr. Ed Owens claimed that the Queen's recent health bout and reign nearing its end could move the Sussexes to "reconcile" with the royal family.

"Harry will definitely be at his grandmother’s funeral when she does finally die," he told Express. "And if the relationship between Meghan and the British Royal Family has improved by then, I see no reason why she wouldn’t attend either. However, time will tell."

Prince Harry Homesick And Wants To Reconcile With His Family

Robert Lacey, a biographer of Queen Elizabeth, who works as a historical consultant on The Crown, said the Duke of Sussex wanted to admit "missteps" over his clashes with Prince Charles and Buckingham Palace.

Prince Harry allegedly called his pals "mournfully" after his complaints about his dad were "so poorly received." The Duke of Sussex accused his family of "total neglect" toward his mental health in his interview with Oprah.

Markle also alleged that a member of the royal family raised concern about their unborn child's skin color. Prince Harry corroborated his wife's statement.

Prince Harry also seemingly criticized Prince Charles' parenting.

"My father used to say to me when I was younger, he used to say to both William and I, 'Well, it was like that for me, so it’s going to be like that for you,'" he said per Metro.

"That doesn’t make sense. Just because you suffered, that doesn’t mean your kids have to suffer. Actually quite the opposite. That doesn’t make sense. Just because you suffered, that doesn’t mean your kids have to suffer. Actually quite the opposite."

According to Lacey in article for Daily Mail, his friends have pointed out to Prince Harry the risk he is running with his stream of hurtful, personal complaints.

"I’m told that Harry has been telling friends he would like to reconcile and is willing to admit some of the missteps he has made," Lacey wrote, citing people close to Prince Harry.

Prince Harry Not Spending Holidays With The Queen, Royal Family

Despite the reconciliation rumors, some sources claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would not spend the holidays with the royal family. It will be the first Christmas sans Prince Philip, who passed away in April.

An unnamed source told Page Six that the Sussexes are not flying back to the U.K. for Christmas. Otherwise, they would have informed the royal family already because it involves a lot of planning and logistics.
