Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made some bold criticisms of the royal family in Harry & Meghan. The Duke of Sussex, for his part, suggested that the men in the royal family tend to marry someone who fits the mold and not because of love. His comments did not sit well with some experts.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Encouraged To Skip King Charles' Coronation?

While speaking with Daily Mail, former conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should just skip King Charles' coronation next year. After all, they seem to dislike the royal family so much.

Tory veteran David Mellor echoed Smith's sentiments by saying that Prince Harry and Markle shouldn't come to King Charles' coronation.

"I hope they don't come because I want the King and Queen to be the center of attention. It worries me that if they come the cameras might waste time on them. They should stay holding hands in Hollywood," Lady Antonia Fraser said (via Mirror UK).

Historian Lord Andrew Roberts also said that Archie and Lilibet shouldn't also be allowed at King Charles' coronation because they would just be a distraction.

"Queen Caroline wasn't invited to George IV's Coronation, The Duke and Duchess of Windsor weren't at George VI's in 1937, and Elizabeth II's German relations weren't invited in 1953, so there's plenty of precedent for not inviting people who would be a distraction too and detraction from the focus of the great day," he said.

Bob Seely Claims Prince Harry Should Voluntarily Give Up His Royal Title

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bob Seely, a Conservative member of the Parliament, said that he will bring forward legislation to try and strip Prince Harry and Markle of their royal titles.

"As well as trashing his family and monetizing his misery for public consumption, [Prince Harry] is also attacking some important institutions in this country," he said.

Negative Reactions To Harry & Meghan Revisited

On Twitter, Seely also said that Prince Harry should voluntarily have his title revoked.

"Harry Windsor should voluntarily relinquish his titles. If he doesn't Parliament should act to remove them," he wrote (via Yahoo! News).

Sophie Corcoran also accused Markle of being insanely privileged despite her complaints.

"Dear Meghan Markle, you are a duchess, you are a millionaire, you are insanely privileged. You are not oppressed. You live a much better life than the brits you trash and who you claim oppress you. Get over yourself, Sincerely, Britain," she tweeted.

"The full clip shows Meghan Markle is being self-deprecating. She's having a joke at her own expense. That's the point. And again, this just underlines the sort of nonsense Meghan has had to deal with: the relentless malicious twisting of everything she does and says," Owen Jones wrote.
