Prince Harry Heartbreak: Meghan Markle's Husband Slammed After Saying He Suffered Burnout, Netizens Didn't Take Him Seriously

Prince Harry encouraged the people to invest in themselves by taking the time to do something that would benefit their mental health. Meghan Markle's husband also shared his mental health struggles and what he did to beat them.

Prince Harry Shares Self Care Tips After Experiencing Burnout

Prince Harry made his first appearance in 2021 in a virtual conference with Serena Williams and BetterUp CEO Alexi Robichaux Thursday. During the discussion, the trio talked about "cultivating the power of Mental Fitness through a bold commitment to Inner Work."

Prince Harry shared that he also did "experience burnout." He encouraged people to focus on their well-being and shared his self-care time.

According to Meghan Markle's husband, he puts 30 to 45 minutes each morning for himself.

"Okay, one of the kids has gone to school. The other one's taking a nap. There's a break in our program," he said. "It's like, right, it's either for workout, take the dog for a walk, get out in nature, maybe meditate."

Furthermore, he stressed how working on one's well-being also helped employees perform better at their jobs. In addition, it benefits the employer, families, and the community.

"So not only are they better at work, therefore as the employer, you are welcome, you're getting more out of me than you thought you would. But also you're creating more capacity and more ability for those individuals when they go home to show up and be the person they need to be for their friends and their community to be the parent that they need to be for their kids. So it is one whole sort of cycle of, of, of connectivity that ultimately means everybody around you starts to benefit," he added. "That's the way I see it."

Prince Harry Criticized, Not Taken Seriously By Critics

While there is nothing wrong with Prince Harry's campaign for investing in one's self, his critics were not convinced with his words. They didn't believe he struggled and experienced burnout.

"Sorry, just don't take him seriously any more," one commented on the BetterUp video.

"OMG is this a sick joke?.…..Haz doesn’t actually know what the word work means!" another opined.

"It’s really difficult to take mental health advice from a 40-year-old who in the middle of a pandemic was complaining on Oprah that he only had his mom’s millions to rely on because dad cut him off," a third user added. "This is all during people losing their livelihoods."

"Eh! What the hell is he talking about? He's never done a hard day's work in his life," a different user wrote.

Despite the backlash, some netizens also praised Prince Harry because, for them, he has been consistent in his efforts in promoting mental health.

"I love that Prince Harry is consistent, he has been talking about mental fitness since the implementation of the Invictus games," one fan wrote.

"It was a FANTASTIC conversation. Especially the last session with Serena and #PrinceHarry! It was so relatable and simply-put that the common person would be able to understand it well. GREAT JOB," another added.
