Royal author Tina Brown weighed in on the Sussexes future when Prince Charles takes over the throne, and she was hopeful that the Sussexes would return as working royals.

"My guess is Charles is really going to want them back — sort of need them back actually — because Harry and Meghan were huge assets to the whole royal repertoire quite frankly," Brown told The Sun. "They had a young appeal that was very, very potent in the country."

Royal author Tom Quinn suggested earlier that Prince Charles could take back the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as part-time working royals. It has always been what they wanted, but Quen Elizabeth denied it because she didn't find it acceptable to be working part-time for the service of the people.

"One interesting thing an insider told me… is that both Meghan and Harry believe that when the elder royals die – in other words, Elizabeth – they may well be able when Charles is King, be able to come back and be the part-time royals that they really wanted to be," Quinn said on To Di For Daily podcast, per Express. "So that they would be six months [as] working royals and six months in the States or wherever doing their own thing."

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Warned About Prince Charles' Reign

While some believed that it would be easy for Prince Charles to embrace the Duke and Duchess of Sussex back to the monarchy, some didn't think it would be that easy for Prince Harry and Markle to return to the royal household.

Royal correspondent Daniela Elser shared her thoughts about the Sussexes' future when Prince Charles takes over the throne. She warned them that his father's reign would be a cause of concern for the duo, who seemed to have failed to maintain a friendly relationship with the Prince of Wales based on their previous interviews.

"If there is anyone for whom this Charles photo should be a cause for serious alarm it is his son and daughter-in-law Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex," Elser wrote on News.com.aureferring to Prince Charles' photo at the State Opening of Parliament.

"Like it or not, a number of decisions about their future won’t be made by 10 per cent-taking managers, PR firms and business agents but 8500km away in London," Elser continued.

"Decisions like, what sort of relationship they might be able to hope for with his family; whether their son Archie and daughter Lilibet will be made both HRHs and Prince/Princess when their grandfather accedes; and even whether, if their commercial ambitions grow, they face serious monarchical pressure to stop using their gifted Sussex titles."
