Sarah Ferguson Joins Daughters In A Vacation Amid Prince Andrew's Sexual Abuse Lawsuit
The Duke and Duchess of York have been spotted out and about in the past years, even after their divorce. They have remained amicable and were even seen vacationing together in Spain in 2019 per The Sun. However, according to New Idea, Ferguson was overwhelmed with the recent scandal plaguing the prince, so she joined their daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's holiday trip to the resort town of Verbier in Switzerland.
"It’s interesting timing that Fergie chose now to take off on a family holiday with the girls given that, until now, she has stayed in the Royal Lodge with Andrew," an unnamed source told the outlet. "Things are increasingly messy for Andrew, and it seems it’s getting all too much for Fergie."
The tipster speculated that even if Prince Andrew gets away with the case in court, he will never escape the scandal. So, his ex-wife has to decide whether she's going down with him or not. And their two daughters are allegedly already plotting what their mom should do next.
“Beatrice and Eugenie are using this trip to carefully plan their mum’s next move,” the tipster added. “They will be fine, as they have their granny’s total support. But Fergie risks being made a pariah by association with Andrew. The girls feel the best thing to do is for Fergie to keep quiet. She might struggle with that as she has an unwavering sense of loyalty to Andrew.”
Sarah Ferguson And Daughter's Trip Nothing New
Gossip Cop examined the report and found nothing new in it. Sarah Ferguson enjoying a holiday trip with her daughters doesn't mean she abandons Prince Andrew.
Ferguson has spent the holidays in Verbier almost every year since she was 16.
“Since that first visit, I have regularly returned for holidays to Verbier,” Ferguson told Swiss newspaper le Nouvelliste why she loved returning to the place. “My family has followed me over the years. We feel free and happy, we feel at home. Anyway, I call it ‘my home.'”
There is also nothing questionable about the timing. The family is just enjoying the trip, especially because the family welcomed two additional members last year — Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice's children.
The mother and daughters probably wanted Prince Andrew to be with them. However, he had a lot of things going on his plate, mainly because he is facing sexual assault charges from Virginia Giuffre. There is not enough reason to conclude that Ferguson abandoned him.

Meanwhile, what is sure is that the Queen has already decided to strip Prince Andrew of his royal patronages and military affiliations. The palace released the statement on Twitter Thursday.
"With The Queen's approval and agreement, The Duke of York's military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to The Queen," the statement read. "The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen."
