Prepare for a Magical Quest in New Trailer for Disney Pixar's Onward

After the success of Frozen II, Disney has decided to drop a new trailer for next year's animated adventure Onward. It doesn't just give us more of Ian and Barley, but more of their magical quest to get their father back just for one day.

Though we get a lot of hijinks in the last trailer, this new one gives us a lot more of the world to look at. We get to meet the Manticore voiced by Octavia Spencer, and we find out that the brothers' mom Laurel goes on an adventure of her own. We also get a look at some centaur cops, plus a bunch of different magical species.

If I'm being honest, the setting for the movie is exactly like Netflix's Bright, with fantasy characters put into an urban setting. I guess when it comes to Disney Pixar, they made the story a lot more kid-friendly, plus I'm sure we're going to get a way more satisfying emotional arc compared to what we got with Bright.

After Toy Story 4, it's said that Pixar is going to be focusing on original films moving forward. Besides Onward, we're also getting another film next year in the form of Soul starring Tina Fey and Jamie Foxx.

Set in a suburban fantasy world, Disney and Pixar's "Onward" introduces two teenage elf brothers (voices of Chris Pratt and Tom Holland) who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there.

Catch Disney Pixar's Onward when it hits theaters March 6, 2020.
