It's a truly sad day for Power Rangers fans. Pua Magasiva, who was best known for playing the Red Ranger in Power Rangers Ninja Storm, has passed away at the age of 38.

Magasiva's body was found in Wellington on May 11, as per The New Zealand Herald. Police confirmed that they were called to a sudden death in an address in the city's central business district early on Saturday morning. A spokeswoman said that there were no suspicious circumstances and that the death would be referred to a coroner. Details about Magasiva's passing have not yet been released but we will post an update as soon as new information is revealed.

Magasiva is best known for playing Shane Clarke, the Red Wind Ranger in Power Rangers Ninja Storm. He was one of the few Samoan actors to appear in the Power Rangers franchise. Additionally, Magasiva is the only Samoan actor to play the Red Ranger in the franchise.

In addition to playing a key role in Ninja Storm, Magasiva was known for his portrayal of Vinnie Kruse in the New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street. He took the title role in the comedy Sione's Wedding as well as its sequel Sione's 2: Unfinished Business. Magasiva had a small role in the film adaptation of the comic book series 30 Days of Night.

Magasiva was a true hero even when the cameras weren't rolling. In 2017, he reportedly helped pull a man out of a burning car after the vehicle smashed into a tree on the Hibiscus Coast Highway in Orewa in Auckland, New Zealand.

Magasiva is survived by wife Lizz Sadler and brother Robbie Magasiva.
