Power Rangers Fan Film Staring Katie Sackoff and James Van Der Beek

Every kid of the 90s knows the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. It was a phenomenon that kept kids glued to their TV sets every Saturday. The show has continued to run for 20 years through various transformations. There is even a movie reboot of the franchise in the works. That hasn’t stopped film producer, Adi Shankar from putting together his own fan-film. Shankar, who was Executive Producer on Dredd, The Grey, and Lone Survivor, is no stranger to producing fan-films. A few years ago he did The Punisher: Dirty Laundry bringing back Thomas Jane to the role of Frank Castle.

This time Shankar teams up with director Joseph Kahn (Torque, Detention) to create Power/Rangers. The film is a fresh new and dark look at our favorite morphing team. The fan film stars Katie Sackoff as Kimberly the pink ranger and James Van Der Beek as Rocky, traitorous ex-Red Power Ranger. Taking place after a great war with Rita, this world unlike any we’ve ever seen the Rangers in.
