Potential Synopsis To Marvel’s Black Widow Movie Makes Its Way Online

Now that the Marvel fanbase is all hyped up and ready to go see Brie Larson's Captain Marvel, it seems like Marvel Studios has gained more confidence in delivering more female-led superhero movies. After years and years of waiting, Marvel fans can finally look forward to a Black Widow movie starring the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Natasha Romanoff, Scarlett Johansson.

Though there have been very little updates about the Black Widow project with Marvel's hands filled with the marketing campaign for Captain Marvel, it looks like a potential synopsis to Natasha Romanoff's standalone movie has managed to make its way online.

A Black Widow fansite managed to find the plot description somewhere on the internet and decided to post it on Twitter for Marvel fans to go over.

Here's the alleged synopsis of the Black Widow movie:

"At birth, the Black Widow (aka Natasha Romanova) is given to the KGB, which grooms her to become its ultimate operative. When the U.S.S.R. breaks up, the government tries to kill her as the action movies to present-day New York, where she is a freelance operative. The standalone film will find Romanoff living in the United States 15 years after the fall of the Soviet Union."

The description doesn't sound too far off from the character's origin, and based on the synopsis, it looks like we might be getting another period piece like Captain Marvel. Maybe we might even get to see Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Agent Coulson (Clark Greg) again.

Black Widow has yet to receive a release date but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
