Star Wars Fan Dressed as a Stormtrooper Gets in Altercation with Police Officers

Even with the Coronavirus forcing people to stay inside their houses, people can be on edge for all the wrong reasons. Some people choose to defy the quarantine for dumb reasons like "not getting a haircut" so we can see why some police officers would be on edge. However, when two officers got into an altercation with a Star Wars fan dressed as a Stormtrooper, we think this could have gone a lot better.

According to CBC, the fan was dressed as a Stormtrooper to help promote a special May the 4th promo the restaurant she was working for had planned. Killing some time, she and a friend decided to record a video of her walking like a Stormtrooper when two officers told the fan to get on the ground and drop her weapon.

While she did drop her weapon, telling them that it was fake, reports claim that she didn't follow them about getting on the ground and got some minor injuries out of it. In the end, no charges were made and she was able to leave, though we think that was still an overreaction. We're glad everyone is okay but this could have gone a lot better.

If you're a Star Wars fan, get a Disney+ subscription and stream all of the movies now, including The Rise of Skywalker. Do it while dressed as a Stormtrooper, just don't go outside with a toy gun.
