Police Are Investigating Alleged Battery at Stan Lee's LA Home

Yesterday, the Los Angeles Police Department officers were called to the home of comic book legend Stan Lee, reportedly to investigate battery charges, The Daily Mail reports.

The police haven't revealed any details about the investigation yet but according to Daily Mail, the Adult Protective Services (APS) was also there. The APS is typically called to deal with allegations of elder abuse though we still don't know if Lee was the victim.

Photos reveal that Stan Lee's longtime bodyguard and manager Max Anderson is seen outside of Lee's house with his lawyer Tom Lallas, so it's likely that Anderson is the target for investigation. However, LAPD hasn't confirmed that.

In 2002, Anderson was convicted of an assault against his wife and was sent to jail for a year then served three years probation. He was convicted again in 2010, this time for abusing his son, which brought him another three years' probation and court-mandated counseling.

The past few months have been rough for Lee. Last month, Lee was accused of groping several nurses caring for him at his Hollywood Hills home.

Also in January, Lee discovered that someone stole $300,000 from his accounts by using a fraudulent check.

On Thursday, it was reported that someone used Stan Lee's money to buy an $850,000 condo without Lee's knowledge.

The LAPD just confirmed that the investigation is going on in Lee's property but Lee, Anderson, or Lallas haven't made an official statement about the investigation yet. As The Daily Mail points out later that month, Lee was alleged to have masturbated in front of a female masseuse after groping and demanding sex at a Chicago hotel.
