Pokemon Go, Niantic's wildly popular mobile game, is this year's most searched Google topic.
According to Google Trends, the augmented reality app topped the overall global 2016 list, beating iPhone 7 and Donald Trump, which placed second and third, respectively.
On the other hand, 20th Century Fox's R-rated superhero film Deadpool was the top-searched film of 2016, with Suicide Squad and The Revenant in the top three. As for television, Stranger Things beat Westworld and Luke Cage to be the number one searched TV series of 2016.
