Pokemon Go Fan Base Dips, Continues to Top Fan-Favorite Games

So much has happened since the launch of Pokemon Go. And even though the hype is very much alive, that doesn't mean that the numbers haven't dipped since they skyrocketed during the first few days of launch.

In an new analysis by Verto Analytics, it was confirmed that Pokemon Go as a craze has already peaked at 45 million downloads. The sad part is that the user base has been on a decline since the peak date of July 15, and it just continues.

So far, the recorded data at the beginning of August has seen a 41% drop in user numbers. Still, that's not to say that the Pokemon Go hype is over. If anything, there are still some areas where it should be launched sometime own the road.

What's more, it continues to stay ahead of long-running popular games, Candy Crush Saga and Clash of Clans. To compare, Pokemon Go has had 15 million daily users at the start of August, while Clash of Clans and Candy Crush Saga only had 3.1 million and 4 million daily users respectively.

This isn't all that bad. And now that Niantic Labs has confirmed and started rolling out the bans, perhaps fans will start taking up their phones to go Pokemon hunting. Next month, the Pokemon Go Plus accessory is also debuting, so that's something else to look forward to. And let's not forget the promised Legendaries. I'm already playing as much as I can to make sure my Pokedex is ready when that happens.
