Play All Three Lego Marvel Games in One Package

Before Marvel's Spider-Man came out on PS4 and rocked our socks off, the Lego Marvel games were the best titles to feature everyone's favorite Marvel heroes. Whether that's a compliment or insult is up to the reader but there's no denying that these games gave players the chance to use their favorite characters from Marvel Comics and go wild with them in a playground literally made out of Lego.

If you've never played any of the Lego Marvel games, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games have great news for you; Lego Marvel Super Heroes, Lego Marvel's The Avengers, and Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 are being bundled into one convenient package called the Lego Marvel Collection. As if that wasn't enough, all the DLC for each game will be available so that makes this compilation feel much more complete.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes was the first of these titles to be released and is still seen as the best of the series to many. Before Disney became petty and bought out Fox, Lego Marvel Super Heroes included characters from The Avengers, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, and so much more. The story was delightfully silly, while the classic Lego gameplay was greatly enhanced by its roster.

As for the MCU tie-in, Lego Marvel's The Avengers was seen as a step-up when it came to gameplay and many enjoyed how certain movie scenes were re-done in the Lego format. No X-Men or Fantastic Four characters this time around but we did get more obscure heroes like America Chavez and the Young Avengers.

Though not terrible, Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 was when people got a bit tired of these titles. It did have a zany story featuring Kang the Conqueror and a number of alternate characters like Spider-Man 2099 and Spider-Gwen but the lack of Fox-owned characters, along with any innovative mechanics, made this game feel irrelevant. It's still a solid title for anyone who likes these type of games though.

Lego Marvel Collection comes out on March 12 for PS4 and Xbox One.
