Pixar Thanks the Fans with Trailer for the Whole Toy Story Franchise

Toy Story 4 hit cinemas last weekend, and I think it's safe to say that Pixar has finally put the franchise to rest. With that milestone being passed though, the studio has released a new trailer for the whole Toy Story franchise, and it even includes clips from the shorts that weren't released theatrically like Toy Story of Terror and Toy Story That Time Forgot.

Though I still think that Toy Story 3 was the better conclusion to the franchise as a while, TS4 can be considered some kind of "epilogue" of sorts. While the entire franchise had focused on the fate of Andy's toys as a group, he fourth movie kind of just focuses on Woody's story and how he reaches some kind of crossroads in his life after "raising" two kids.

At some point, Woody is kind of a metaphor for a parent who wants nothing but the best for their kid, and the movie tries to give him a sense of purpose now that Bonnie seems to be outgrowing him as well.

If anything, the movie is still great, and a lot of praise has been going toward the new characters introduced in the film. I particularly like the direction they chose to go with the villain Gabby-Gabby. I'm not spoiling anything here, but she's a more unique case compared to the likes of Stinky Pete and Lotso who were basically the same character.

Catch Toy Story 4 now in theaters.
