Fans have shown solidarity and support for Johnny Depp in the midst of his legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard. The 57-year-old actor has been on the receiving end of misfortune as of late following his firing from Warner Bros. Pictures' upcoming Fantastic Beasts 3 project where he was originally set to reprise his role as Gellert Grindelwald. Recent reports have also claimed that Depp has lost a lot of money thanks to the projects that were taken away from him.

Now, fans are still hopeful that he'll be able to bounce back after being hit by an onslaught of controversies surrounding his personal life. A lot of people believe that Disney should give Depp one more chance to star in a new Pirates of the Caribbean film, the franchise he carried on his back for years. An old Change.org petition from a couple of years back which calls for Disney to bring back Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates saga has once again surfaced and it's close to reaching 300,000 signatures as of writing.

The messy situation between the ex-lovers has been nothing short of horrid, but it's amazing to see how a lot of people seem to be behind Depp even though recent developments from his case against Heard suggest that he's in the wrong. Hopefully, the fan petition will ultimately become a success and leads to a second chance for Depp. Still, at the end of the day, the final decision is still in Disney's hands and we're left with no choice but to hope for the best.

Meanwhile, a new female-led Pirates of the Caribbean film is in the works over at Disney.
