The official trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home has pretty much confirmed that Michelle "MJ" Jones already knows the truth about Peter Parker. However, the new clip from the highly anticipated Marvel Studios movie reveals how Peter somehow shared (or didn't) the secret with MJ.
The five-second promo was shared on Twitter and features Ned Leeds walking in on Peter in his black suit while MJ waits for him. Ned, who believes he is the only one who knows about Peter's secret identity, is clearly in shock but his best friend immediately explains things away: "She knows. I told her."
However, MJ isn't having any of it. "He didn't tell me," she tells Ned. "I figured it out."
There is little doubt that MJ is a smart girl. However, we have yet to find out how she realizes that the boy she goes to high school with also happens to be the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
The Far From Home trailer also confirms that the film takes place after the events in Avengers: Endgame and Peter is still trying to cope with the death of Tony Stark. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean Nick Fury is letting him slow down and enjoy his European trip. Let's just hope that Peter gets to save the world and spend some time with the girl he likes.
The new synopsis for Far From Home reads as follows:
"Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever."
Spider-Man: Far From Home will premiere on July 2.
