PETA is Criticizing Toy Story 4's New Design for Bo Peep

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has quite the reputation for pushing their agendas in weird ways from criticizing Pokemon to demanding "animal-friendly" figures of speech. Now the latest thing they have on their sights is Disney Pixar's upcoming film Toy Story 4.

According to PETA, the new design of Bo Peep is promoting animal cruelty because she still uses a shepherd's crook. This is their post:

Just for context, a shepherd's crook is used to herd sheep by allowing shepherds to hook them by the neck or legs. It's also a multi-purpose tool that can be used to fend off predators and help balance the shepherd in uneven terrain. In ancient Egypt, the crook is held by a pharaoh to symbolize care (specifically in difficult circumstances). In no way had the crook ever been a symbol for ‘cruelty.'

Of course, no one on the internet was taking the bait at all and has decided to mock PETA for even attempting to find fault with Toy Story 4. As I said, PETA has had so many outrageous campaigns over the year, it's become a joke to some people whatever they try to promote.

As for Toy Story 4, everyone is still waiting on a full trailer for the film. We've gotten several teasers, but so far, nothing to give us the feel of the entire film. With the movie coming out in June, let's hope something gets released later this month.
