He is definitely non-stop as he continues to bring waves to Disney in various projects and now, it is official, Lin-Manuel Miranda is a god as he takes on Hermes in the upcoming original series reboot of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians has a plethora of characters including gods and demigods and possibly one of the most pivotal to the narrative is Hermes, and a message from the messenger of the gods has arrived as Lin-Manuel Miranda is welcomed to the cast of the upcoming series.

In an announcement made by Disney Plus, Lin-Manuel Miranda is formally revealed as the messenger of the gods, Hermes, in Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It includes two photos of Lin-Manuel Miranda posing beside the chairs with his character's name, Hermes, and the title of the series.

Author Rick Riordan personally introduced Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes on Twitter, and on his personal blog, Riordan shared some clarifications as to why Hermes is cast early given his appearance in the books.

Riordan said, "I told you we are adding new glimpses of backstory, Easter eggs, and other nuances to enhance the narrative while remaining true to the original storyline. When you see the episode in question, it will make sense why we introduced Hermes early."

Riordan even revealed how he personally invited Lin-Manuel Miranda to join the cast, "I sent him a note saying, “Hey, you ever felt like being a god for a couple of days?” To my delight, he was excited to join the Percy Jackson family. His son even provided him with some background reading on Hermes to prep him for the part."

With Miranda's most famous work today being Hamilton, Riordan cited a comparison, "This is the second time he has played a god of commerce. The first was the father of the American banking system, Alexander Hamilton. I have to think Hamilton would be pleased with the comparison. Immortals, after all, never run out of time."

Lin-Manuel Miranda is best known for his role in Hamilton. He is a composer, lyricist, actor, and filmmaker who created Hamilton and In The Heights, even the soundtrack of Encanto. Lin-Manuel Miranda has tons of accolades under his sleeves.

In the book series of Percy Jackson and the Olympians and in Greek mythology, Hermes is an Olympian, the messenger of the gods, the god of roads and travelers, the god of commerce, the god of speed, the god of boundaries, and the god of thieves.
