One of the biggest standouts of Peacemaker is Jennifer Holland's Emilia Harcourt. From a smaller role in The Suicide Squad, the character became more fully fleshed in the HBO Max series where we understand her more beyond just being an A.R.G.U.S. agent and see her growth as she became a more welcoming and empathetic person. But for those who don't know, Holland has actually been in a long-time relationship with show creator James Gunn and now it looks like they are taking it to the next level.

Gunn took to social media to announce his engagement with Holland by posting a photo of the actress holding a mug and wearing an emerald-cut diamond ring along with a caption of a smirking face and heart emojis. You can check his tweet below:

Holland acknowledged the announcement tweet by responding with a smiling face and heart emojis. You can check her tweet here:

The couple's announcement was met with numerous congratulatory messages from various celebrities such as some of the stars of Peacemaker including John Cena, Steve Agee, and Lochlyn Munro. You can see them all below:

Gunn and Holland have been in a relationship since 2015. According to an interview with the actress on The Hollywood Reporter, they met through actor and Smallville star Michael Rosenbaum, who was dating one of Holland's friends during that time and set them up on a date after Gunn saw a photograph of the actress. Fast forward to seven years later, they are now engaged.

It's always exciting whenever we see two personalities getting engaged after dating for a long time. Of course, we wish them all the best in their relationship as they have now stepped on the next level as well as their continuous professional collaboration which we know will be extending now thanks to the renewal of Peacemaker for a second season.
