It goes without saying that James Gunn has impeccable taste in music and Peacemaker's now-iconic intro pretty much proves that. But it's not just the track "Do Ya Wanna Taste It" by Wig Wam that made the DC show's intro quite memorable, it's also the dance sequence that showcases the cast led by John Cena strutting their moves.

Well, it turns out that Peacemaker is still getting a groovy intro for its second season, only this time around, it will be entirely new.

On Threads, the DC Studios co-CEO confirmed that they're doing a brand new intro for Peacemaker Season 2, and spoiler alert: it will still see Christopher Smith dancing along with old and new characters.

In a series of posts, Gunn hyped up the new opening credits for the Max series which will still be choreographed by Charissa Barton, the one responsible for Season 1's dance sequence.

To give you a refresher, several characters died in the first season, including Sophie Song (Annie Chang), Larry Fitzgibbon (Lochlyn Munro), and Caspar Locke (Christopher Heyerdahl) who were all featured in the original intro so of course, changing it is necessary. Let's just hope he keeps that banger intro song.

Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see how Peacemaker Season 2 addresses the DC Universe shakeup because if you may recall, the first season is actually set in the SnyderVerse, as confirmed by the finale which featured cameos from Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller.

As it stands, we still don't have a release window for Peacemaker Season 2 but the first season is available to stream on Max.
