Paul Bettany Says He Doesn't Have MCU Contract After WandaVision

There is little doubt that fans are hoping that Vision will be back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after everything that happened in WandaVision. After all, the series introduced White Vision who immediately escaped after his memories were restored.

However, Paul Bettany isn't very optimistic about his character's future. The Avengers: Infinity War star just revealed that he currently doesn't have a contract with Marvel Studios.

Bettany recently spoke to The Playlist where he was asked if he knew about Marvel's plans for his character. Interestingly, the Captain America: Civil War actor stated that he didn't get any update from the studio and even confirmed that he hasn't signed a new contract.

"Oh no, no. I don't have a contract," Bettany said before adding that WandaVision probably isn't getting a second season. "I don't know that. I don't know that at all. And all that I do know is, as far as this sort of traunch of the press goes, it's for an Emmy push, which is for a limited series."

Bettany continued by saying that there have been no discussions about pursuing White Vision's story. "I mean, I guess it would be difficult to introduce White Vision and not deal with him in some way, but we have not discussed that," he said.

This is disappointing news for fans who were hoping that WandaVision Season 2 will actually focus on Scarlet Witch and White Vision. On the other hand, there's a possibility that Marvel Studio is just waiting for the right time to offer Bettany a new contract. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
