Patrick Stewart Teases How Star Trek: Picard Season 2 will Explore Jean-Luc's New Body

We already know that Star Trek: Picard Season 2 is coming and Patrick Stewart will be back despite Jean-Luc Picard's "death" in the previous season finale. But what can we expect in the second season? Naturally, Stewart confirmed that we'll get to see his character getting used to his new android body.

In the Season 1 finale, Jean-Luc passed away due to the brain abnormality that has been hounding him for several episodes. However, he was ultimately brought back through the android golem body created by Alton Soong and Agnes Jurati. Not surprisingly, Stewart confirmed with Gold Derby that Jean-Luc will discover new things about his new body in the second season.

"Brilliantly and wonderfully they were able to perform surgery on me in such a way that I survived and came back," Stewart said. "But, now with an artificial life inside me – not a subservient cruel one like the Borg, but we shall see. We don't know how Picard is going to live with this new condition which has become part of his life, which is going to extend his life."

We don't know much about the golem body just yet but there are endless possibilities considering that Soong was actually preparing it for himself. Needless to say, we'll find out more about it in Season 2.

Star Trek: Picard Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
