Patrick Stewart Might Return As Charles Xavier In Legion Season 3

It's already been confirmed that Professor X will make an appearance in Legion Season 3 and that the younger version of Charles Xavier will be played by former Game of Thrones star Harry Lloyd. But is there any chance that Patrick Stewart will also reprise his iconic role in the FX series? Dan Stevens certainly hopes so and says he won't stop asking the Star Trek actor for a cameo.

Stevens recently spoke to ComicBook.com about the third season and the actor admitted that he has been begging Stewart to join Legion.

"I keep pitching it to him and he seems game," Stevens revealed. However, he also stated that the casting would still be up to producer Lauren Shuler Donner. In the meantime, Stevens once again confirmed that Professor X will show up in Season 3.

"We definitely catch a glimpse of Charles Xavier in this season. And yeah it's great to sort of bring that into play. If this is the question I get asked the second most I think, after 'Where can I get Navid Negahban's sunglasses from Season 2', is 'Will we see Charles Xavier'. And yeah, I can answer the second one, I can't tell you where the sunglasses come from. But yeah, he will be making an appearance. Which is great."

Too bad. Those sunglasses are awesome. Nevertheless, we are certainly looking forward to seeing Professor X later this year. The third season is set to be the final one for Legion so it's certainly fitting that we will get to see David Haller's father come into play.

Legion Season 3 has not yet been given an official premiere date. Nevertheless, the series is expected to return on FX in late 2019.
