Parks and Rec’s Nick Offerman is Up for a Cats Movie Where He Plays Every Role

Character actor Nick Offerman is best known for his role as Ron Swanson in Parks and Recreation, and there was this silly trend going around for a while where people searched for cats that looked like him. With the Cats trailer dropping last weekend though, Disney artist Joaquin Baldwin pitched the movie with Offerman playing every role. What's funny is, Offerman is totally down for it.

Check out his post:

Of course, the internet was also ready to oblige, and @drfakenstein on Twitter had come up with this cut trailer with Offerman's face deep faked into all the characters. It looks absolutely ridiculous, and I'm betting someone will be crazy enough to edit the whole movie once it hits home video.

Just in case you're curious, here's the Conan interview where Offerman gets to talk about all the cats that looked like him:

With Offerman's tweet getting a lot of attention, no doubt some talk shows are going to jump in on the opportunity to have Offerman help promote the film. It's only a matter of time before we get Offerman in cat make-up singing Memory along with James Corden.

Going back to Cats though, the film had admittedly gotten a mixed reception, and the dislikes on the Youtube video greatly outnumber the likes. Hopefully, the studio manages to make a fix of this without delaying the movie. I mean, it's great that they decided to fix Sonic the Hedgehog, but I would prefer if they didn't have to do that for every movie.

Catch Cats when it hits theaters Dec. 20.
