Park Seo Joon's new movie, The Marvels premiere, is pushed back to later months.

The South Korean star is having his Hollywood debut through the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel alongside lead stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Iman Vellani, who took on the role of Kamala Khan, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau.

Park Seo Joon's The Marvels Release Date Set on July 2023

As cited by Variety, the premiere of the highly anticipated sequel will be delayed months from its original schedule.

The Marvels release date was initially slated for its global release on February 17, 2023, but was delayed to July 28, 2023.

The outlet did not disclose what prompted the sequel to push back to a later month, but it says that The Marvels are currently filming the movie.

All About Park Seo Joon's The Marvels Journey

In mid of 2021, rumor sparked that MCU has selected the Itaewon Class star to play a character for a sequel.

At the time, the actor and his agency, Awesome Entertainment, were tight-lipped about Park Seo Joon's new movie and his Hollywood debut.

However, speculation arose after the K-drama heartthrob was spotted at the airport and left Korea to film a Marvel movie but wasn't able to provide further details or confirm the project.

Interestingly, in March 2022, the actor finally spoke about his first-ever Hollywood movie.

In his interview with The Guardian, the 33-year-old Hallyu star admitted that he was stunned to hear the shocking news.

"When I first heard that the Marvel Cinematic Universe wanted to speak with me, I couldn't believe it. I actually couldn't believe it," he said.

However, the actor had sworn to secrecy or agreed to a contract not to divulge further information regarding the upcoming project when he mentioned, "I'm just trying to be careful with Marvel-related questions."

With a new environment means a new project, especially since this one is Park Seo Joon's first-ever movie with MCU; he confessed that he felt nervous but lauded that "everyone was so helpful and welcoming" that he coped with work easily.

While neither his agency nor representatives from Marvel are hush-hush about his possible character, the Fight for My Way star is the third South Korean celebrity who joined the MCU project. It includes Claudia Kim for the Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ma Dong Seok, a.k.a Don Lee in Angelina Jolie's Eternals.

Park Seo Joon's New Movie with IU, K-drama Comeback with Han So Hee

The Hallyu star is booked and busy this 2022 and the upcoming year as he is set to headline his small-screen return and team up with IU for a new movie.

He will be working with the singer-actress for the sports-themed film Dream, which recently wrapped up its production.

In addition, Park Seo Joon's new movie also includes a star-studded cast of Concrete Utopia with Lee Byung Hun and Park Bo Young.

Lastly, he will also have his K-drama comeback with Han So Hee and Wi Ha Joon for the series K Project.
