Park Seo Joon, IU 'Grateful' For Successfully Wrapping Up Forthcoming Movie Dream

After two years of waiting, fans would get to see Park Seo Joon and IU movie Dream after the team officially wraps up filming.

As cited by a Korean media outlet, the cast and crew had their last production day on April 13 in Hungary.

With this, the studio behind the film, Megabox Plus M, shared a series of posts on Instagram featuring the whole team behind Dream and a snap of lead stars IU and Park Seo Joon with director Lee Byung Hun.

Over the caption, the company hints at the team's "end of the long journey," adding that the "Dream Team is ready to launch," referring to the movie's release date.

To recall, the movie's production was delayed due to the surge of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Initially, the cast and crew planned to shoot the remaining scenes overseas but were postponed because of the health crisis and Park Seo Joon's COVID-19 diagnosis.

IU and Park Seo Joon Talks About Experience Filming Dream

As translated by Soompi, lead stars Park Seo Joon and IU dishes out honest thoughts about their forthcoming movie.

According to the Itaewon Class star, he felt "a bit sad now that it is ending" however, he also shared that he is "very thankful" that they were able to complete the filming successfully.

"I hope moviegoers will give it lots of love," the actor added.

Meanwhile, IU expressed the same thought, noting that Dream was her first-ever feature-length film and would "remember this for a long time" after making beautiful memories with the team.

Moreover, she also enjoyed portraying her role Lee So Min, adding, "It was also a good experience for me personally as I felt myself becoming more bright and carefree when acting as So Min."

The upcoming comedy-drama is a sports-themed movie that follows the story of a famous soccer player Yoon Hong Dae, played by Park Seo Joon, who lost his shine after being involved in a controversy.

To bring his dignity and name back, he becomes the head coach of a group of individuals joining in the Homeless World Cup for the first time.

Joining the cast are Lee Hyun Joo, Kim Jong Soo, Jung Seung Kil, Kim Jong Soo, and more as supporting actors.

Interestingly, Baeksang Arts winning Kang Ha Neul is said to appear in a special cameo, but his role is yet to be announced.

Dream's release date is scheduled to air sometime in the second half of the year.
