Park Seo Joon, Lee Jun Young, Shin Hye Sun Tests Positive for COVID-19

More celebrities both from the music and tv industry are testing positive from COVID-19. The latest are Park Seo Joon, Lee Jun Young and Shin Hye Sun.

According to reports, these stars were diagnosed with the said virus despite completing the second dose of vaccine and receiving booster shots.

Park Seo Joon Tests Positive for COVID-19

On February 24, news broke that the 33-year-old star tested positive and is currently in quarantine.

It was confirmed by Park Seo Joon’s agency, Awesome ENT, noting that he “carried out tests using self-testing kits before moving to all his filming sets” as a preemptive measure.

As cited by Soompi, the actor both tested positive from self-testing kit and PCR tests, despite competing for “three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.”

Due to this, the management postponed “all scheduled activities since February 18 and is taking the necessary measures to quarantine and receive treatment.”

Awesome Ent assured fans that the Itaewon Class star is “currently in the recovery stage and has no special symptoms.”

Over social media, fans expressed their well wishes, hoping for the actor’s speedy recovery.

Park Seo Joon is among the Hallyu stars who are booked and busy in the coming years.

His Kdrama comeback will be alongside Han So Hee and Squid Game star Wi Ha Joon for the thriller drama, K.

In addition, the South Korean heartthrob will be headlining two upcoming movies. First is the star-studded Concrete Utopia with Lee Byung Hun, Park Bo Young and Park Ji Hoon from All of Us Are Dead.

The second will be the sports-theme film Dream with singer-actress, IU.

Interestingly, Park Seo Joon will have his Hollywood debut after being cast in the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) project.

He will be working alongside Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani and more for the 2023 sci-fi adventure The Marvels.

Brave Citizen Stars Lee Jun Young and Shin Hye Sun Diagnosed with COVID-19

Aside from Park Seo Joon, Shin Hye Sun also tested positive for the virus.

Per AllKpop, the actress’ agency, IOK Company, shared that after receiving the result, the Mr. Queen star has begun her quarantine and is “not experiencing any major symptoms.”

The same goes for Lee Jun Young, who tested positive as of February 23, as confirmed by his label, J-FLEX.

In a statement released by his agency, the singer-actor “underwent a self-diagnosis kit test before attending a schedule” on February 22 and has shown positive results both in the self-diagnosis kit and PCR.

“Lee Jun Young has thus far completed his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and he is not showing any abnormal symptoms,” J-FLEX added.

The Love and Leashes star is currently “receiving treatment at home while in quarantine” in accordance with the safety guidelines.

As mentioned, both actors will be headlining the upcoming webtoon-based film Brave Citizen, helmed by Love Forecast and Closer to Heaven director Park Jin Pyo.
