Park Seo Joon and IU’s Movie Dream Finally Coming to the Big Screen

After 3 years of waiting, viewers will get to see Park Seo Joon and IU team up for the upcoming movie Dream.

The two top stars headline the sports themed film created by Extreme Job, Melo is My Nature director Lee Byung Hun.

IU and Park Seo Joon’s Movie Dream Teases Viewers With An Interesting Update

As obtained by a media outlet, Plus M Entertainment, the distributor of the movie, teased the public by sharing an update about the highly anticipated movie.

On its official YouTube and Instagram account, the distributing company changed its profile picture to Dream’s poster.

In addition, the Korea Media Rating Board confirmed that IU and Park Seo Joon’s movie had been reviewed.

With this, the update hints that the public will get to see the two top stars unite in one drama very soon.

Dream Release Date, Cast, and What to Expect in IU and Park Seo Joon’s Movie

One of the much-awaited movies this 2023, Dream is a sports comedy theme movie that depicts the story of a group of amateur soccer players who will join the Homeless World Cup for the first time.

However, a professional soccer player named Yoon Hong Dae, played by Park Seo Joon, becomes the official coach of the ragtag soccer team.

He accepted the responsibility since he is on disciplinary probation.

While honing his new team, he meets Lee So Min, played by IU, a producing director who plans to make a documentary about the team.

Besides IU and Park Seo Joon, Dream cast also includes a roster of talented stars. It includes Lee Hyun Woo of Money Heist Korea, Ko Chang Seok of Project Wolf Hunting, and more.

In addition, viewers will get to see Kang Ha Neul appear in a cameo role.

To recall, Dream is a two-year in-making project at the height of the pandemic.

Fortunately, the team officially wrapped up the production in April 2022 with their last filming location in Hungary.

According to Soompi, IU expressed her gratitude to everyone on the team and cited that she will remember this “for a long time” aside from the fact that it is her first feature-length film.

“It was also a good experience for me personally as I felt myself becoming more bright and carefree when acting as So Min,” she said, adding “I hope moviegoers will smile a lot with ‘Dream’ and also feel the film’s warmth.”

The same goes for Park Seo Joon who is saddened and at the same time felt happy that filming Dream was a success.

“It is a bit sad now that it is ending, but I am very thankful that we were successfully able to complete filming,” he said.
