Park Hae Soo, Kim Da Mi Confirm Team-Up for Netflix Movie The Great Flood

Park Hae Soo and Kim Da Mi are set to headline an upcoming movie The Great Flood.

According to Soompi, Netflix officially confirmed the two cast members who will be joining the sci-fi disaster blockbuster film.


Netflix’s The Great Flood: What We Know So Far About Kim Da Mi and Park Hae Soo’s New Movie?

As Kim Da Mi and Park Hae Soo spark excitement with their upcoming Netflix film, The Great Flood is written and directed by Kim Byung Woo of Take Point and bagged Best New Director for his movie The Terror Live.

The sci-fi disaster movie focuses on the struggle of people who are caught up in an unexpected catastrophe after an apartment is submerged in water following a great flood.

Kim Da Mi is selected to play Anna, who works as an artificial intelligence development researcher and was among the people who struggle to survive the disaster.

Meanwhile, Park Hae Soo took the role of Human Resources Security Team member, Hee Jo who sees Anna and tries to save her from the great flood.

Following the confirmation of lead stars, Netflix is yet to announce the complete list of cast lineup and target release date for the movie.

K-dramas and Movies Starring Kim Da Mi and Park Hae Soo

Both stars have raked numerous recognitions and have a number of remarkable projects under their belt.

Kim Da Mi made her acting debut in 2017 for a bit role in Romans 8:37. A year later, she had her first ever lead role in the action supernatural film The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion with Choi Woo Shik, Park Hee Soon, and Jo Min Soo.

The rising star bagged several Best New Actress awards for her impressive performance in the movie. It includes Korea Youth Film Festival, London Asian Film Festival, Asia Artist Awards, and more.

Interestingly, she reprised her role as Ko Ja Yun in The Witch: Part 2. The Other One, which was released in 2022.

As for her K-dramas, Kim Da Mi gained skyrocketing fame after landing the role of Jo Yi Seo in Itaewon Class with Park Seo Joon.

The webtoon-based series is also her first ever K-drama since her debut.

It was then followed by another smash hit series Our Beloved Summer and was reunited with Choi Woo Shik as her co-star.


From Kim Da Mi, Park Hae Soo is another Hallyu actor who has been gaining a lot of attention recently.

Since the Netflix series Squid Game became a huge hit worldwide, all eyes are now on Park Hae Soo and his versatility as an actor.

Amid the cast member’s individual recognitions and nominations from various award-giving bodies, the 40-year-old actor was once again praised for his outstanding portrayal of Berlin in Money Heist Korea.

Interestingly, Park Hae Soo will return for part two of the Korean adaptation with Yoo Ji Tae as the Professor, Jeon Jong Seo as the feisty Tokyo, Kim Ji Hoon as Denver, and more.

On top of his Money Heist Korea role, the South Korean star is now under the international label United Talent Agency (UTA) which houses Hollywood’s top stars including Johnny Depp, Paris Hilton, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Jessica Alba.
