Even CEO of Blumhouse Productions and producer Jason Blum believes that the found footage series should come to an end, but more on that later.

The first Paranormal Activity movie was released in 2017, and it centers on the young couple Katie and Micah, who have recently moved to a new house in San Diego, California. What The Other Side be the last Paranormal Activity movie?

Paramount hasn't officially confirmed if Paranormal Activity: The Other Side will be the final Paranormal Activity movie, but CEO of Blumhouse Productions and prodcuer Jason Blum believes that it's now time for the supernatural horror series to come to an end. “It has been enough already. That last Paranormal Activity movie was terrible,” Blum told Variety of the most recent installment, Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin, which premiered in October 2021.

The producer went to compare the Paranormal Activity franchise to that of Halloween, another long-running horror classic that has been successfully brought back to life and will come to an end with Halloween Ends in late 2022.

“With Halloween, we only had the rights to three movies, so we said: Halloween Ends! It ends for Blumhouse, at least,” he said. “With other things, you just have this feeling it’s time to put them to bed. It would come back if some director I love, like Scott Derrickson, said: ‘I have a great idea for a ‘Paranormal Activity’ movie. But it’s not something I want to do [at the moment].”
