Paddington 3 Production Start Date Announced


It's finally happening. Paddington 3 has been confirmed to be in development. In addition to that, the third film about the adorably polite Peruvian bear just got a production start date.

Studiocanal has confirmed during the Cannes Film Festival 2021 that Paddington 3 will begin production in early 2022. The story will be written by Paul King, Simon Farnaby, and Mark Burton, who is working on the screenplay with Jon Foster, and James Lamont.

Interestingly, it was revealed that King, who had directed the previous two movies, will not return to helm the sequel. Instead, King will serve as executive producer on Paddington 3. The new director has not yet been announced.

For now, the premise of Paddington 3 has not yet been revealed. However, there is a good chance that the new movie will follow Paddington as he helps Aunt Lucy adjust to a new life in London. The previous movie concluded with the Brown family and their neighbors working together to bring Paddington's adoptive aunt to London.

The cast of Paddington 3 was not confirmed during the announcement. Nevertheless, fans are expecting Ben Whishaw to return as the voice of the sweet little bear. Hugh Bonneville and Sally Hawkins could also return as Henry and Mary Brown, the couple who takes care of Paddington in London.

Paddington 3 has not yet been given an official release date. The third movie is set to begin production in early 2022, possibly sometime in the second quarter of the year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
