The fight for survival just got a little more difficult for the Travis siblings. The new trailer for Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2 confirms the siblings and bOy will have to face a new threat as they continue their search for their parents!
The Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2 trailer opens with bOy and the siblings fighting off a large threat. Although Atlas Destroyer is preparing to fight, bOy immediately springs into action, taking down the dinosaur with ease. Taylor and Hayley are impressed by it all, giving the expectant kaiju hybrid the thumbs up for a job well done. However, the mood quickly changes for the survivors.
As the trio continues on to Sydney Base, they encounter several signatures. But instead of kaiju, they come across what appears to be a collection of Jaegers. Mei immediately realizes that they have stumbled into the territory of the Sisters of the Kaiju.
The cult is a major threat not just for bOy but to the humans as well. Can the survivors keep their kaiju companion safe or will the Sisters of the Kaiju ultimately take bOy away from them? The truth will be revealed later this month.
The official synopsis for Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2 is as follows:
"In the epic series conclusion of Pacific Rim: The Black (S2), the journey is far from over. Our brave siblings Taylor and Hayley still hope to reach the safety of Sydney aboard Atlas Destroyer, the scaled-down training Jaeger left behind when Australia was evacuated. With teenage assassin Mei and the mysterious human/kaiju hybrid bOy joining Taylor and Hayley, this makeshift family must cross a dangerous territory controlled by the bloodthirsty cult Sisters of the Kaiju.
"These zealots, led by the enigmatic High Priestess, are convinced that bOy is their long-awaited Messiah and will stop at nothing to indoctrinate him into their dark circle – something Hayley would sacrifice everything to prevent."
Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2 will bring back Calum Worthy as Travis, Gideon Adlon as Hayley, Erica Lindbeck as Loa, Ben Diskin as bOy, and Victoria Grace as Mei. The series was created by Craig Kyle (Thor: Ragnarok) and Greg Johnson (X-Men: Evolution) and is being produced by Legendary Television with Polygon Pictures.
Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on April 19, 2022.
