Pablo Hidalgo Reveals A Surprising Game Of Thrones Cameo In Solo: A Star Wars Story

The Star Wars franchise has a certain habit of hiding cool celebrity cameos in its films. Fans saw Star Wars creator George Lucas playing Baron Papanoida in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, they saw Daniel Craig suit up as a Stormtrooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Simon Pegg dressed up as Unkar Plutt in the same film, Tom Hardy had a small Stormtrooper cameo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and so on and so forth.

Solo: A Star Wars Story wasn't any different, and it looks like one celebrity cameo came from an unlikely Game of Thrones star – Nymeria the Direwolf.

Lucasfilm Story Group member Pablo Hidalgo just recently appeared on a recent episode of The Star Wars Show to give away some of the secrets of Lucasfilm's latest spinoff, Solo: A Star Wars Story. One of the surprising little treats that Hidalgo gave away was the revelation that the dog who played Arya Stark's (Maisie Williams) beautiful direwolf, Nymeria, in HBO's popular fantasy epic Game of Thrones, was actually part of the dogs who helped play Solo's Corellian Hounds.

That's not all. Hidalgo also took to Twitter to give a little shout out to the good boi. Check out Hidalgo and Nymeria down here:

Dressing the doggo up as a Corellian hound was a bit difficult, but the trainers hired for Solo managed to get the celebrity canine to work with everyone on set.

It's pretty amazing what kind of surprises Solo: A Star Wars Story brings.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is currently screening in cinemas.
