Overwatch is Now Korea's Most Popular Internet Cafe Game

Blizzard's Overwatch is now the most popula game in South Korean internet cafes.

More than 30 percent of gamers in South Korea's PC bangs (internet cafes) are playing Blizzard's new MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena), Gametrics (via Polygon) reports.

Overwatch's popularity is pushing League of Legends down to 27.8 percent, dethroning it from the top spot it has occupied since August 2012.

Bangs have been a huge part of the country's gaming culture - a trend that's been fueled by Overwatch's developed, Blizzard, whose 1998 RTS Starcraft became a huge hit in the country.

Overwatch's game director Jeff Kaplan recently shared details about the game's competitive play, and said that the developers are continuing to tweak the game based on players' feedback.
