Our Beloved Summer is an ongoing Kdrama that tells the story of two bickering ex-lovers forced to work together when the documentary they shot in high school went viral.

Our Beloved Summer Episode 6 showed Yeon Su’s difficult days when she was still young. Because of poverty, Yeon Su experienced many struggles with getting along with her friends and trying hard to survive the harsh reality of life.
They had to move to another neighborhood when they sold their properties to pay the debt left by her uncle. This prompted her to work hard in her studies and remain on top of the school rankings to provide for her grandmother and stop her from working.
Yeon Su became nonchalant and self-centered. She only cared about herself and nothing else until she met Choi Ung.
While doing the documentary, the two developed feelings for each other. During the last shoot, they started being a couple and promised that they would graduate high school and enter a good university together.
But although their relationship felt warm and innocent like the summer, Yeon Su decided to break up with Ung. The most painful words were let off that night when Yeon Su told Ung that he was the only thing she could throw away.
Back to the present, Ung wakes up on the morning of the live drawing show. He seems not to remember everything that happened before he fell asleep and tried to connect the dots on the way to the venue.
On the other hand, Yeon Su is busy double-checking the details at the event. When the live drawing show started, Yeon Su saw an unfamiliar side of Ung. It turns out that when Yeon Su went to Ung’s house to give him a jujube juice, the latter invited her inside. Yeon Su tries to shrug it off and pretends not to remember anything, but Ung acts the opposite.
As Yeon Su reflects on why she broke up with Ung, she admits that it was her pride that made her do the most horrible thing to the one she loves.
The epilogue for Our Beloved Summer Episode 6 then shows a flashback where Ung researches what kind of jobs can a design major apply for.
