There’s now a slim chance that one of Oshi no Ko’s voice cast members might be replaced temporarily. Recently, talent and voice actor agency I’m Enterprise announced that Oshi no Ko VA Saori Onishi will limit her work in the meantime due to sudden health issues.
These kinds of announcements aren’t new given the rigorous schedules of Japanese voice actors, but it is still concerning for fans.
After all, VAs in Japan are often also personalities that promote anime and gain loyal followings.
Saori Onishi: A Prolific Japanese Voice Actress
When you ask an anime fan about a voice actress that they know, chances are that they’ll mention popular ones like Rie Takahashi or Kana Hanazawa.
While Saori Onishi may not be as prominent as the other VAs that were mentioned, she’s still one of the most popular ones working today as she’s a prolific voice actress with a lot of popular roles.
Perhaps her most popular character is Ais Wallenstein in DanMachi, the serious adventurer who serves as the executive of the Loki Familia.
Onishi is also the voice of Shikimori in Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie, Eriri Spencer Sawamura in Saekano, and Kaori Shirasaki in Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest.
One of her most recent roles is Yuki Sumi, the actress that’s part of the cast in Oshi no Ko's reality dating show.

I’m Enterprise Announces Saori Onishi Will Limit Work Due to Health Issues
Onishi’s agency, I’m Enterprise, recently announced that she will take a temporary break from some of her activities.
This is due to health issues that she has been struggling with over the last couple of days.
Specifically, Onishi is suffering from dizziness and difficulty breathing. Her doctor recommended that she pause some of her work commitments due to these symptoms. Though no other details were revealed about her health.
Her agency assured fans that their priority is Onishi’s health. Though it was revealed that she will continue working on some of her commitments so long as she’s comfortable with them.
For now, there’s no word yet on whether her voice acting for Oshi no Ko will be affected. Though it won’t be a surprise to see her get replaced temporarily for health reasons.
After all, the same happened with The Witch from Mercury in Season 1.
