Oscar Isaac in Talks to Join Dune Reboot

Oscar Isaac must be on top of the world right now. Not only is he reprising his role as Poe Dameron in the current Star Wars trilogy but he will also likely play as Spider-Man 2099 in the Spider-Verse sequel. It seems like everyone wants a piece of the Isaac pie as the actor is now in talks to join the upcoming Dune reboot.

According to Variety, if things go through, Isaac will become the father of Timothee Chalamet's character. Since talks are still ongoing, we will have to wait and see if Isaac does become a part of the Dune universe, which is surprisingly popular for those unaware. He will join a cast that includes Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgard, and Charlotte Rampling.

Set in the distant future, Dune follows Paul Atreides, whose family assumes control of the desert planet Arrakis. As the only producer of a highly valuable resource, jurisdiction over Arrakis is contested among competing noble families. After Paul and his family are betrayed, the story explores themes of politics, religion, and man's relationship with nature, as Paul leads a rebellion to restore his family's reign.

No release date for the Dune reboot has been confirmed, as of this writing.
