Oscar Isaac Compares Finn, Poe, Rey Dynamic in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker to Original Trilogy

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is coming out next month and fans are going nuts over the franchise right now. Add the amazing quality of The Mandalorian on Disney+ and EA's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order being a surprisingly good game, it's clear that 2019 is the year of Star Wars. Fans are hoping that The Rise of Skywalker ends the 2019 Star Wars hype on a high note and this interview with Poe Dameron actor Oscar Isaac is making us hopeful.

After The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi mostly focused on the individual arcs of Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren, The Rise of Skywalker will finally bring these three together for the adventure. We will obviously see Rey break out on her own so that she can fight Kylo Ren but there will be moments where we see them together as comrades.

Isaac discussed the dynamic Rey, Poe Dameron, and Finn will have in The Rise of Skywalker with Entertainment Tonight. Here is what he said:

"This time around you get to see the trio together, you know, I think after the spirit of the original trilogy, exploring the dynamic between these three characters that love each other. You feel like they have been together but when you really look at it, wow, they really haven't spent much time together out of the cockpit."

While the last two Star Wars movies were pretty good, it will be nice seeing these characters together for once. We're sure that there are comic books and novels out there detailing some of their other adventures but, for the most part, these three have been separated. It's gonna be fun seeing them fight and have banter together, that's for sure.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be coming out on December 20.
