Original Snake Eyes Ray Park Pays Tribute To G.I. Joe

Most people probably remember Ray Park for his brief but memorable performance as Darth Maul in the Star Wars prequels. However, there's at least one more role that Park truly enjoyed playing. Now that a Snake Eyes spin-off film is in development, Park decided to pay tribute to G.I. Joe for giving him the chance to play the character.

Park posted a video on his official Instagram account that showed off his skills as G.I. Joe's silent commando. Check it out below.

"It's been a pleasure to play a character twice in a Hollywood big-budget movie that was part of my childhood and influenced me throughout. NINJA LIFE!" Park wrote.

Park played Snake Eyes in the 2009 film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra as well as the sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation in 2013. However, it looks like the planned Snake Eyes spin-off movie is looking for a younger actor to play the commando.

It was previously reported that Henry Golding is in negotiations to take on the lead role in the Snake Eyes film. However, the casting has not yet been confirmed.

Although it's unlikely that we'll see Park as Snake Eyes again soon, fans can still see him return as Maul in the future. It has been confirmed that Park shot a mo-cap performance as his infamous character for the upcoming final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

The Snake Eyes movie is already scheduled for release on October 6, 2020. Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 will air on Disney+ soon.
