One Piece fans have been celebrating the premiere of One Piece Episode 1015 and declaring it the best anime episode ever (or at least, so far). Not surprisingly, people are crediting Megumi Ishitani for the masterful adaptation of the manga's Chapter 1000. Now, the director has decided to speak out about the success of "Roof Piece" and she's hyping up the future episodes as well!
Megumi Ishitani directed One Piece Episode 1015 and it is clear that fans loved her work as they sang praises about Roof Piece on social media. Ishitani is clearly grateful for the fan reaction and decided to share her gratitude on Twitter.
In her tweet, Ishitani thanked the staff who worked on One Piece Episode 1015 before expressing her gratitude to the fans. She then pointed out that the great thing about making animation is being able to achieve what they had with Roof Piece. Ishitani concluded her message by stating that "A great number of stories are waiting for you after this!"
This is great news considering that the first two episodes that have been released since One Piece resumed broadcasting have been well worth the wait. Needless to say, we can't wait to see what the next episodes will be like.
One Piece Episode 1015 was originally expected to premiere last month but production on the episode had to be pushed back due to the Toei Animation hack earlier in March. The anime, along with many others, were forced to go into an extended hiatus. Luckily, One Piece resumed broadcast earlier in April and the new episodes proved that they were well worth the wait.
Fans can look forward to a new special episode next week. Although details about the new episode have not yet been revealed, it will be broadcast on May 1. One Piece Episode 1016 is titled Battle of Monsters! Three Captains Stubborn to Each Other ("Kaibutsu Kessen! Ijihariau San Sencho") and will air on May 8, 2022.
