One Piece Episode 1,016 Recap

Kaido is affected by Luffy's punch, which shocks him and Big Mom. Zoro explains to the others that Luffy used Ryuo, the type of Haki in Wano which attacks the target from the inside.

Kaido looks down on Luffy for his ambitions, saying he isn't strong or powerful enough to defeat someone like him. He also thinks Luffy is merely a newbie. Big Mom thinks the same for the other pirates on the rooftop.

However, Luffy, Captain Kid, and Law are ready to fight Big Mom and Kaido. Zoro and Killer are also prepared to back up their captains.

Elsewhere, Sanji is still trapped in the room where Black Maria and her crew are. Sanji is feeling conflicted since he knows he has to leave the room, but his love for women is also stopping him. Black Maria also asks about Robin, but Sanji does not say anything.

Going back to the rooftop, the three captains — Luffy, Law, and Kid — argue with each other in the middle of the fight with Kaido and Big Mom. Meanwhile, Zoro and Killer attacked Kaido at the same time, but it was not very effective.

Shortly after, Luffy, Law, and Kid prepare themselves to launch a big attack on Kaido.
